单级离心泵和多级离心泵的区别

 

在离心泵的分类中,美国威盾VTON的样本将它分为了单级离心泵和多级离心泵,那么二者在特征和用途上有什么区别,如何选型,本文进行全面的分析。

单级离心泵和多级离心泵都是离心泵的一种,但它们有一些明显的区别。

单级离心泵:(以美国威盾VTON进口卧式不锈钢单级离心泵为例

  1. 只有一个离心泵转子,只能提供一定的流量和扬程。

  2. 适用于输送低扬程、大流量的液体,比如输送清水、液体食品等。

  3. 结构简单,易于维护和维修。

  4. 只有一个轴承支撑,因此转子重量较轻,转子和泵体的配合间隙较小,对轴承的要求相对较低。

多级离心泵:(以美国威盾VTON进口卧式不锈钢多级离心泵为例

  1. 由多个离心泵转子组成,可以提供较高的扬程和流量。

  2. 适用于输送高扬程、小流量的液体,比如输送油类液体、冷却液等。

  3. 结构复杂,需要进行专业的维护和维修。

  4. 转子重量较大,转子和泵体的配合间隙较大,对轴承的要求较高,通常采用多个轴承支撑。

  1. Single-stage centrifugal pump: A single-stage centrifugal pump      has only one impeller mounted on a shaft and is suitable for low to medium      flow rates and low to moderate pressure applications. The fluid enters the      pump through the eye of the impeller and is accelerated radially outward      by the vanes on the impeller. The kinetic energy of the fluid is then      converted into pressure energy as it flows through the volute casing,      which directs the fluid into the discharge pipe.

  2. Multi-stage centrifugal pump: A multi-stage centrifugal pump      has two or more impellers mounted on the same shaft and is suitable for      high-pressure applications. The fluid enters the first impeller, where it      is accelerated radially outward and then passes through a diffuser, which      converts the kinetic energy into pressure energy. The fluid then enters      the next impeller, where the process is repeated, and the pressure is      further increased. This process is repeated for each subsequent impeller,      resulting in a much higher pressure output.

In summary, single-stage centrifugal pumps are simpler in design and suitable for low to medium pressure applications, while multi-stage centrifugal pumps have multiple impellers and are capable of generating higher pressures.
